Through the eye of the camera ...

Image
People have many hobbies, and my hobby is photography. I love it so much. Because with the click of a camera, we can capture beautiful events and memories that we might otherwise forget, and keep them forever as a memory, without letting them fade away. I think photography is a uniquely powerful hobby that is different from other hobbies. I first picked up a camera during my school days. I was also a member of the school's photography society, where our teacher taught us how to properly photograph an object or a scene. Photography has now become an integral part of my life and has grown into a passionate hobby. The school environment was a beautiful place that gave us the opportunity to take photographs for the first time at our school. I never forget to photograph every happy moment in my life, everything aesthetic. I have many photos collected like this. A photographer's eye is a special thing. His or her eye is drawn to aesthetic, attractive things more quickly than the av...

The First Time the Ghungroo Weighed on My Ankles

Image
As a Sri Lankan traditional dancer, I also had a strong passion for Indian traditional dance. That is why I constantly turned to watching Indian Films because of the Indian traditional dances they featured. I fell in love with the dancers in those films and their dance moves. Because of that passion that I had since childhood, I started learning the Indian traditional Kathak dance with the determination that I would reach the top of that dance. The Indian Kathak dance tradition is a classical dance form that originated in the Delhi state of Uttar Pradesh. It is characterized by graceful movements, use of gestures, and complex cycles. After learning and practicing this dance tradition for a while, the teacher determines whether the student is suitable to learn this dance and ties the Ghungroo on ankles. This gives new life to the kathak dance. Luckily, I was lucky enough to tie that precious Ghungroo. It was another unforgettable moment in my dancing life. The moment my Kathak teac...

" If I Stay " can be considered one of the best and most thought-provoking books I have ever come across in my life. The book is written by Gayle Forman. It talks about the difficult times we face in life and the loss of love. The story follows a 14-year-old girl named Mia and her family who are involved in a car accident. Her entire family, including her younger brother, are killed. However, she survives and ends up in a coma. When she regains consciousness, she discovers that her entire family has died. As Mia faces emotional turmoil, she is forced to decide whether she want to continue living or if she should let go and join her family in death. Throughout the book, Mia talks about her strong relationship with her family and the love she had for them. She also loved music. Her boyfriend, Adam, is also a musician. At the end of this book, the author asks the reader, "can one find the strength to go on after losing everything?" One of the most important lessons f...

Facing challenging times..

Image
People face different challenges at different times. Life is always full of ups and downs. Every human being faces challenging situations, and each challenge gives life a new experience. Nowadays, a large number of young people are even tempted to commit suicide due to their inability to face the challenges in their lives. The majority of them are university students. Therefore, one should not be limited to book knowledge alone but should also have the ability to endure and be positive in the face of challenges, and the ability to cope with them well. We can follow several steps for that. We should always focus on what we can control. It is normal to feel pain and sadness when things are out of our control during difficult times. But we should try to rise above those situations and not dwell on them. We must also build positive mental strength to face reality. And every time you feel discouraged by failure, you should remind yourself again and again why you started. Every time you...

Are people with disabilities unable to pursue their dreams? Can the challenges of life prevent them from pursuing their dreams? Dance is a universal language, an expression of the heart. Everybody has a dance inside of them. But what about a person confined to a wheelchair? Kitty Luna is a ballet and modern dancer. Her uniqueness lies in the fact that she is a dancer with a disability. She founded the dance company Infinite Dance Theatre in 1995, which consists of dancers with and without disabilities. She has expanded the boundaries of dance and developed the art of wheelchair dance. The main reason she turned to dance was when her grandmother took her to see a red-headed ballerina on her eighth birthday. She wanted to be a talented dancer like the dancers there. She was lucky to meet her first teacher at the Paris Opera Ballet. She recognized Kitty's talent and encouraged her to dance. She then moved from New Orleans to the Washington Ballet. There she had the opportunity ...

Dance through artificial intelligence

Image
The art of dance, which has gradually developed over time, has now had a strong impact on the field of dance, as well as on every other field, with technological advancements. As a result, artificial intelligence is currently being applied to the field of dance. Harold Cohen , the world's first AI artist. In his 1973 essay ' Parallel to Perception ', he questioned AI.
