A world without Art ..

I think to truly understand the importance of art; we need to live for a few minutes in a world where art is completely absent.

Even if we achieve great advances in technology and science, if there is no art in it, it will always be a dark world where people live like machines.

Art is a universal language that transcends borders and even time. For example, dancing, music, drama, visual art and etc.

Art can be described as one of the factors on which human existence depends. Art is so intertwined with human life.

Without art, our world would be empty of beauty, creativity, and human expression. Because
art is a form of psychotherapy for the individual. A person with a stressed mind, facing various challenges in their daily lives, can heal their mind through art.

For example, a person who is busy with daily tasks can soothe their mind by listening to music and watching dance.

we will have no culture to proudly proclaim and also creator with creative ideas will not be born. People will be like machines without creative ideas.

The mission accomplished through art is too high to be expressed in words.

Therefore, it should be the responsibility of all of us to preserve art and not let it deteriorate.

  "The Noir Queen Kuweni" ballet was created by the creator Chandana Wickramasinghe, a great figure in Sri Lankan dance. This ballet was based on the story of the ancient queen Kuweni. This ballet was performed at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Colombo on January 3, 2025. This allows a dancer to maintain an intuitive understanding of their body during dance without any hindrance. A key aspect of the dancer brain is an acute sensitivity to rhythm and timing. Adapts to subtle shifts in dynamics and tempo according to music or a certain rhythm. Here, a dancer's brain is active, with the innate ability to not only perform rhythms with music, but also to interpret it in the context of the moods that accompany it at that moment.
